Subject: Female, approximately 9 years old
Burn Size and Location: The back of both legs from the top of the knee to the top of the ankles
Product Used: Silver Biotics Armor Gel (24 ppm hydrogel wound dressing)
Wound Management Protocol: The subject sunburned herself while surfing all day in Hawaii. The legs swelled and blistered, causing severe pain. Their doctor gave them a tube of Silver Biotics Armor Gel to apply topically to the burn starting on day 2. The subject reported that the pain, swelling, and redness quickly reduced after the application of the Armor Gel. The subject’s mother reported that, “by day 6, the blistering and peeling was gone”.
